I bought this book a few weeks ago and took my time reading it.I have to say that the author has a great sense of writing style and made it very difficult for me to put the book down. Had it not been for my need to go to sleep/work/dinner, I think I would have read through the entire series in one sitting!
This story hits home on many fronts, and is not necessarily for the faint of heart. I know many people in Wendy's situation, but few in Pete's situation. It seems that this story is all about that "missing link" with respect to the "knight in shining armor" archetype.
I hope that this author will keep producing books, as he is a great writer, and I hope to see more variations of his genres in the future as well.

There really wasn't any development with the characters so you didn't really care about them. Plus the whole cousin thing, and how they ended up together seemed weird. No build up in relationship, so it seemed odd.
I loved the story. Any one who likes good character development should give it a try. Sex is in the background where it belongs. Wendy is a strong character and I would not want to go to sleep anywhere around her if I was her ex. Pete is a good man who seems to become more alive when Wendy comes into the plot.
First of a series of six books about the narrator Pete and his female cousin Wendy who reconnect after twenty years. Obviously, there's a bond between them that goes beyond the mere physical. They help each other to heal some of the hurts that life has thrown at them along the way. I would encourage the reader to try all six books. One can see the development of Pete and Wendy during the series along with the cast of many characters.
I've read and enjoyed these stories several times over the years since the author first posted them online. I am very happy that they are now available on so that a larger audience can enjoy them. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
I've had the privilege of reading others of the author's works - his "'prentice pieces", as it were - on-line. He's a great story teller, and that works out well, as I like to read great stories much more than I like to admire "artistic" authors admiring themselves.
At the same time, his work is articulate, literate, well-edited, and enjoyable to read. Nothing "jars".
This is a great, entertaining story. The ones following show promise of being every bit as enjoyable.
This was a great story that had the element in that you could believe it truely happen. There was a few misspelled or missing words that didn't ruin the story, but was why I gave it only 4 stars.
I read volume one in about two hours. Nothing complicated, or deep. The characters are minimally fleshed out, but identifiable. I enjoyed it enough that I am going to buy volume two.
